The right-hand panel features a vibrant, full-color rendering of a Red Lionfish (Pterois volitans or Pterois miles), a venomous reef species native to the warm, coral-rich coastal waters of the Arabian Gulf. The illustration captures its fan-like pectoral fins and elongated dorsal spines arranged in an elegant underwater profile. The left panel features the signature gold-inked arabesque frame enclosing the portrait of Sheikh Ahmad bin Rashid Al Mualla, who ruled from 1929 until 1981, providing the sovereign authorization for this basic letter-rate issue.
