This selection expands on the inaugural 1964 definitive collection issued for the Emirate of Fujeira (الفجيرة). Maintaining the series' characteristic horizontal duo-panel layout, each stamp displays a formal portrait of Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad Al Sharqi (ruler from 1942 to 1974) inside an elegant, gold-inked arabesque frame on the left, while showcasing the region's rich mammalian and avian biodiversity on the right.

this value turns the focus toward the region's avifauna, featuring a vibrant portrait of a Eurasian Hoopoe (Upupa epops). The engraving captures the bird perched on a branch against a clear blue sky, highlighting its distinctive crown of feathers, rich golden-chestnut plumage, and zebra-striped wings. Highly celebrated in regional literature, historical narratives, and folklore for its elegance and sharp perception, the hoopoe is a frequent migratory visitor to the fertile coastal plains and mountain valleys of the emirate.
