Designed with the characteristic central orange torch of knowledge and native geometric side borders printed in deep rose-pink, this specific denomination coordinates portraits representing the deep economic, financial, and logistical partnerships that shaped the pre-union Gulf. The portrait on the left illustrates Dubai's ruler, Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum, while the right features Sheikh Ahmad bin Ali Al Thani, who ruled the neighboring Emirate of Qatar from 1960 to 1972.
